‘God’s Rich Pattern’ is a series of meditations written for those of us who are struggling on our spiritual journey. The starting point for reflection in each chapter is an episode from the author’s own remarkable life, and few could fail to be both humbled and inspired by the honesty of this biographical approach.
Lin believes that although we don’t always know the path God is leading us down, his pattern is woven into everything we do. We may be in a place where it seems impossible to believe that everything ‘will come out right’, or feel utterly reliant on the prayers of others because we hurt so badly. But although we don’t understand our circumstances, God does, and we can hope – in the midst of frustration, grief and fear – to be granted the faith to trust that the meaning will reveal itself in the end.
