1 Corinthians

Growing a Spirit-filled church

In the first letter to the Corinthians, Paul addresses the problems of disunity, immorality, lawsuits, prostitution, marriage, Christian freedom, spiritual gifts and resurrection, and seeks to clarify the church’s understanding of these issues. Even though it was written 2,000 years ago, Paul’s letter is a rich resource for us in the twenty-first century as we seek to “do church”. Our culture exerts enormous pressures on us as the Greco-Roman culture did on the Corinthian church and we are called to be counter-cultural people, demonstrating the power of the kingdom of God in our generation.

In-depth, clear and thought-provoking. These Bible studies will help you to understand more of God’s Word and know Him more deeply.

Christine Platt

Christine spent ten years with The Navigators in Ivory Coast, West Africa. During her involvement there, in evangelism and discipleship with university students, working people and prison inmates, she discovered a lack of good Bible study materials in French, so she started to write and she’s never stopped!

She has now moved to New Zealand where she works as a freelance writer, serves as an elder in her church and teaches the Bible in the local primary school.
