Prayer and God’s Word are foundational to the work of Torch Trust, a Christian organisation having an impact for good on the lives of thousands of blind and partially sighted people around the world. Torch believes sight loss should be no barrier to a full understanding of and participation in the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

To mark the milestone of 50 years of working with those with sight loss, this book is published as an invitation to you to join a 50-day journey in prayer and Bible reading, led by an amazingly diverse company of people whose only link is that they love and appreciate Torch. They are Torch family.

Included are many who are blind or partially sighted and some who are well known in other areas of Christian ministry Marilyn Baker, Richard Bewes, Steve Brady, David Coffey, Mike Endicott, Michele Guinness, Peter Jackson, Jonathan Lamb, Jennifer Rees Larcombe, Jeff Lucas, Roy Searle and Derek Tidball.

50 STEPS FORWARD is both a celebration of half a century of God’s provision and guidance and a call to prayer for what Torch may become, by his grace, over the years to come.
